  1. Detroit’s 404 Willis

    February 12, 2012

In the mid-90s Willis St. in Detroit used to be one of the epicenters of the Midwest punk scene. 404 Willis (now Flo’s Boutique right next to Avalon Breads and Goodwells), my friends tell me (I was too young to ever see this place for myself), was akin to Detroit’s version of the Bay’s Gilman St., or NYC’s ABC No Rio. There’s only a couple videos up on the YouTubes of some shows at 404 Willis.  If you find any more, post ’em in the comments.

  2. My new tattoo.

    February 8, 2012

    My new tattoo.

It’s taken from this poster from the May 1968 French general strike, the first wildcat general strike in world history and the largest general strike in an advanced capitalist nation ever.  Translated to English, the poster reads, “May 1968: The beginning of a long struggle.”

  3. A photo I took got published!

    January 29, 2012

I took this photo at a demonstration at the 2010 U.S. Social Forum, and it was used for the cover of this book by Routledge. The book is finally out and the cover looks great!

Since it’s from the UK and a textbook publisher, the book is pretty pricey, and I haven’t read it all, but it looks really good. You should probably buy it.

I’ll have a real blog post coming up soon. I’ve been pretty busy with various projects and life and whatnot. Mostly stuff like this.

I also started this ridiculous tumblr.
